MARIA Die RUHE moves between house, acid, dark disco, indie dance and techno, with touches of jazz and pop and her unmistakable voice at the centre. From live sets to DJ sets with live vocals, her sound blurs the boundaries between concert and dancefloor.

Her catalogue spans independent labels and includes remixes by Matthew Herbert, Moonbootica, Gudrun Gut, Andreas Henneberg and Beth Lydi. She also runs her own labels RTTR and EXOFRAME, creating space for music beyond fixed categories.

While simultaneously being electronic and handmade, her music overtakes boredom and creates a space where everybody is invited to be as equal, wild, and free as can be.

Producer, singer and live artist, she moves between electronic music, human connection and the unexpected. She releases music, runs her own labels and works with other artists, always driven by curiosity and the freedom to create on her own terms.

Her current project, Lessons in Lust, takes her out into the world, turning real encounters, voices, bodies and everyday sounds into music. At its heart is a search for joy, desire and connection in times of confusion, crisis and disconnection.
